After the rollout of Multifactor Authentication in late 2021, CLASS no longer has passwords. Users are now authenticated into CLASS using their Microsoft account, so the password for CLASS is the Microsoft password.

This also means the password reset functionality has been removed, however users can reset their passwords through the normal Microsoft reset process as required.

We’ve had quite a few questions about passwords though, so here are some ideas to get users logged into CLASS;

  • User IP address is invalid – if you’re seeing this error message, refer to the ‘Supervised Users’ section of the MFA release Notes page. Look under ‘IP Management’.
  • This username may be incorrect – getting this error message? Check for typos in the username (ie: email address).
