National Conference 2025 venue

We are excited to confirm that the National Conference 2025, The Law and More, will run from the afternoon of Wednesday 3 September to lunchtime on Friday 5 September 2025 at Kambri at ANU (the Australian National University) in Canberra.

As part of the wider event schedule, there will be face-to-face network meetings on Tuesday 2 September and three half-day masterclasses in the morning of Wednesday 3 September.

Once again there will be two social events, with a Welcome Reception in the evening of Wednesday 3 September and a Conference Dinner on Thursday 4 September.

Expressions of interest opening soon

We are committed to publishing a draft conference program early in the process and have started program planning with input from the Conference Advisory Group. As part of this work, we will be accepting expressions of interest (EOI) for breakout sessions from 3 to 21 February. We will use EOI submissions to develop ten breakout sessions in consultation with the Conference Advisory Group.

We’ll post detailed information here about how to submit an EOI soon. We will also distribute this information via direct email to the Sector Only News distribution list, network convenors and state and territory peaks.

Key dates for the diary

• EOIs for breakout sessions open: Monday 3 February

• Draft program released to sector: early April

• Early-bird registration and ticket sales open: mid-April

• Standard registration and ticket sales open: early July.
