National Networks
Workers from every state and territory come together to share knowledge and coordinate advocacy in several National Community Legal Sector Networks. Some have an interest in a particular area of law, e.g. employment or tenancy law, others offer support, networking and skills sharing among specific professional groups within our sector, e.g. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers, social and community workers and lawyers). The National Networks:
- lead and coordinate the sector’s advocacy in key areas of national justice policy and law reform
- support organisations to manage professional indemnity issues that arise
- coordinate training and skills development, including through the annual National Community Legal Centres Conference.
National Networks meet regularly online and many meet face-to-face at the National Community Legal Centres Conference.
