Working Women’s Centre Tasmania, a program of Women’s Legal Service Tasmania, in partnership with Worker Assist, offer a gendered employment specialist service for women in Tasmania to provide comprehensive employment advice, representation, advocacy and support to women across the state. You will work closely beside other Worker Assist/WWCT/WLST lawyers to deliver high quality trauma-informed legal advice and representation. Under the supervision of Worker Assist’s Principal Solicitor, the Solicitor will provide legal advice and representation, and community legal education statewide, focusing on workers’ compensation and employment. The role also involves leadership responsibilities, such as mentoring junior lawyers and case officers and contributing to the Working Women’s Centre Tasmania strategic goals.
