Senior Community Lawyer, Family Violence Initiatives – Eastern Community Legal Centre – VIC

The Senior Community Lawyer – Family Violence Initiatives is responsible for delivering high-quality, client-centred legal services to people experiencing or at risk of family violence. The role provides specialist legal advice, casework and representation, including duty lawyer services, within a trauma-informed and culturally-safe framework. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, the position contributes to the development and delivery of innovative family violence initiatives that improve access to justice for disadvantaged and marginalised communities. The role also leads and participates in community legal education, stakeholder engagement, law reform and systemic advocacy activities aligned with Eastern Community Legal Centre’s strategic objectives. This position requires strong professional judgement, sound knowledge of family violence-related law, and a demonstrated commitment to social justice, inclusion and integrated service delivery.
