Research Manager – Justice and Equity Centre – Sydney NSW

Justice and Equity Centre is seeking a Research Manager to support work on the Towards Truth project. Towards Truth is a partnership with the Indigenous Law Centre at UNSW. It is a world-first truth-telling project that shows the impact of laws and government policies on First Nations people. You will take the lead in planning and managing the research for the project.

Your typical day will involve:

  • Preparing research requests and allocating requests to the Towards Truth team and pro bono firms
  • Reviewing others’ research and carrying out your own research
  • Monitoring progress against the research plan
  • Working with subject matter experts to review and refine research for publication
  • Leading meetings with pro bono partners and other external stakeholders
  • Presenting about Towards Truth to promote engagement

You have tertiary qualifications in law, demonstrated research and analytical skills and a proven understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander history, culture and society.
