Lawyer or Senior Lawyer, Nature – Environmental Justice Australia – Carlton, VIC

Are you keen to use your legal skills to protect our precious wildlife and natural places from destruction? Environmental Justice Australia is seeking a lawyer (2+ years) or senior lawyer (5+ years) to work  on nature protection cases and projects, with a particular focus on the Northern Territory.

  • The position is full time, but 4 days a week will be considered.
  • Full-time salary – Lawyer: $96 030 – $117 995; Senior Lawyer: $124 420 – $131,075 plus super
  • Location – Darwin, NT is preferred but Victoria is also possible.

You will provide legal advice and support to community clients, run strategic litigation under supervision, conduct research and draft publications, and lead or contribute to public advocacy on nature protection issues. This is an approximately twelve-month parental leave cover position with the possibility of extension. Start ASAP.
