Director of Policy and Advocacy – Federation of Community Legal Centres – Melbourne VIC

The Director of Policy and Advocacy is a newly-created job share role, partnering with an existing Director who has extensive experience within the community legal sector. Reporting to the CEO and working as part of the Senior Management Team, both Directors will share the broad responsibilities of the role and enable and support Victoria’s 50 CLCs to engage in coordinated and targeted systemic advocacy to drive the law reform priorities of the sector. Providing leadership and guidance to the Policy and Advocacy team, the Directors will lead sector-wide projects to coordinate policy development, systemic advocacy and government engagement. The Directors enable the Federation to be a strong collective voice for justice and equality on behalf of the members and communities they serve. Recognising the leadership role of the Federation for Victorian CLC advocacy, this role will be particularly attractive to someone who excels in government relations.
