Community Lawyer, Early Resolution and Victim’s Legal Services – Eastern Community Legal Centre – VIC

Eastern Community Legal Centre is a multidisciplinary legal service working to prevent problems, progress fair outcomes and support the wellbeing and resilience of communities in Melbourne’s East.

The Community Lawyer – Early Resolution and Victims Legal Services will provide high-quality, trauma-informed casework to victims of crime accessing Early Resolution and Financial Assistance schemes. The role also coordinates the Early Resolution Service across the Community Law Program and contributes to community development and legal education activities.

You are a practising lawyer (minimum two years post-admission) with a strong commitment to social justice, experience working with diverse communities and demonstrated trauma-informed practice. You will have excellent organisational, communication and ICT skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a community legal setting.
