The Tasmanian Aboriginal Legal Service provides legal services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living within Tasmania. A committed advocate for justice, equality and human rights for their communities, TALS specialises in criminal, civil, and family law and provides culturally safe, holistic and appropriate services that are inclusive and open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities in Tasmania. TALS is funded under the National Legal Assistance Program. You will continue to shape the future of TALS, leading the organisation’s growth and program expansion whilst driving strategy and operational management and effectively and confidently leading advocacy including influencing policy development and law reform. You are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who inherently leads with a collaborative, positive and inclusive style, offering a track record in reporting to a board, organisational development, capacity building, strategy delivery, managing funded service models and developing partnerships and stakeholder relationships. Would suit individuals from within community law and justice, advocacy, campaigning, politics, and/or human services with a specialty in Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander services. Hobart or Launceston based, attractive salary package and inclusions. Relocation assistance offered.
