The Financial Rights Legal Centre (Financial Rights) is a community legal centre supporting low-income, marginalised and disadvantaged consumers with credit, banking, debt recovery, and insurance issues. It provides legal advice and financial counselling, helping clients resolve financial problems. Financial Rights integrates telephone-based financial counselling with legal services and runs services like the Insurance Law Service and Mob Strong Debt Help. It also advocates for law reform to improve consumer protection.
In this leadership role, reporting to the board, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring service delivery, financial sustainability and effective policies. You will manage a team of seven, handle compliance, funding and reporting, and represent Financial Rights in law reform and public forums. Additionally, you will foster a collaborative, inclusive workplace, supporting self-determination for First Nations people.
