Redfern Legal Centre has an exciting opportunity for a supervising solicitor to join the Financial Abuse Service on a twelve-month contract (parental leave cover). The role is full time or part time, with a salary of $142 325 $145 186 (pro rata for part time) depending on qualifications and experience.
Redfern Legal Centre’s Financial Abuse Service (FAS) is a statewide service that provides trauma informed legal, social work and financial counselling assistance to victim survivors who have experienced financial abuse from an intimate partner. The integrated service comprises credit and debt law solicitors, a financial counsellor, family law solicitors, a company and tax law solicitor, social workers and a collaboration with another community legal centre for immigration law services. The Supervising Solicitor manages the integrated practice of the Financial Abuse Service and provides line management, advice and casework supervision to four direct reports and three indirect reports. This role works closely with the Managing Solicitor, Policy and Advocacy Lead and Community Engagement Worker to contribute to law reform priorities, community legal education, intake and integrated practice policies and procedures.
