Solicitor – Aboriginal Family Legal Services – Port Hedland (Marapikurrinya) WA

• Applicants must have at least three years post Restrictive Practice
• Salary: $185 000 – $195 000 per year plus remote area salary packaging

Aboriginal Family Legal Services is looking for solicitors who are passionate and committed to working in a dynamic and diverse holistic legal service, working with clients, communities and families affected by family violence. The role would suit someone who is passionate about social justice and working in the community, has strong legal and communication skills, is able to liaise with diverse range of stakeholder/clients and can provide good, sound legal and practical advice.

Applicants must:

• Be eligible for admission to practice in the Supreme Court of WA and obtain a current Legal Practicing Certificate from the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia, pursuant to the Legal Profession Act 2008 (WA)
• Have experience in family law, care and protection matters, criminal injuries compensation or family violence restraining orders
