Solicitor – Aboriginal Family Legal Services – Kalgoorlie WA

  • Candidates must have three to four years post-restrictive practice
  • Salary: $185 000 – $195 000 per year plus remote area salary packaging

Aboriginal Family Legal Services is looking for solicitors who are passionate and committed to working in a dynamic and diverse holistic legal service, working with clients, communities and families affected by family violence. Job Requirements:

  • Be eligible for admission to practice in the Supreme Court of WA and obtain a current Legal Practicing Certificate from the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia, pursuant to the Legal Profession Act 2008 (WA)
  • Experience in family law, care and protection matters, criminal injuries compensation or family violence restraining orders
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people
  • Ability to travel to remote areas to deliver services to clients and the community
  • Strong advocacy skills
