Supervising Lawyer – Gippsland Community Legal Service – VIC

Due to internal staff progression, Gippsland Community Legal Service (GCLS) is seeking a Supervising Lawyer to join a growing team of dedicated lawyers and support staff. GCLS is an independent non-profit service managed by Anglicare Victoria. Its mission is to improve access to justice for all members of the Gippsland community by providing legal advice and advocacy, empowering individuals and groups through community education and removing systemic injustice by advocating for law reform.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing supervision and leadership to a team of lawyers and legal support staff
  • Working with the GCLS Program Manager, Principal Lawyer and broader leadership team on strategic direction of the service and management of day-to-day operations of the service
  • Engaging in direct client service delivery and legal advocacy
