Senior Solicitor – Kimberley Community Legal Services – Kununurra WA

Kimberley Community Legal Service CLS is looking for an experienced Senior Solicitor to join a multidisciplinary team in Kununurra. As a Senior Solicitor, you will be working closely with the Principal Solicitor to deliver legal advice, information, advocacy, representation and education services to clients throughout the East Kimberly. No two days will look the same in this role, but on a typical day you might:

• Provide professional support, mentorship and supervision to other staff as required, including junior solicitors, legal interns, pro bono lawyers and other
• Participate in identifying law reform priorities and participate in strategies to address these
• Participate in interagency networks and build/maintain relationships with referring agencies, key organisations, community leaders and local people relevant to the area
• Assist the Principal Solicitor and the Manager to prepare service delivery plans and other plans and strategies
• Undertake appropriate professional development activities to maintain and enhance the knowledge and skills required to fulfil the responsibilities of the position
