Cairns Community Legal Centre is looking for a Principal Solicitor to lead the Centre’s professional team of staff and volunteers to deliver quality legal services in accordance with CCLC’s strategic initiatives and operational matters.
The Principal Solicitor will work closely with the Centre’s CEO and Finance and Administration Manager to ensure that organisational goals and requirements are met.
You will have significant experience as a practising solicitor and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law. Eligibility as an Australian Legal Practitioner to hold an unrestricted Practising Certificate in QLD will be necessary to be considered for this position.
You will have demonstrated leadership experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills which will enable you to work cooperatively with senior management and centre staff to achieve quality legal services in accordance with the centre’s strategic initiatives.
Critical to your success in this role will also be your organisational skills and ability to manage your time effectively when faced with competing priorities and emerging demands.
