CAWLS is a busy community legal practice with a vibrant and dedicated team committed to providing excellent outcomes for clients through law reform, legal advice, representation, community legal education and outreach. Many clients are women who have experienced or are experiencing domestic and family violence. Assisting the Senior Criminal Lawyer, the Junior Criminal Lawyer will provide criminal legal advice and representation within CAWLS areas of practice and guidelines. You will work with colleagues across the organisation to deliver holistic and wrap-around services for clients, including appropriate referrals to other services and agencies. You will also assist with the provision of duty lawyer services and undertake outreach including occasional travel to remote locations. Total package includes: base salary, 12% superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance and salary packaging options. Excellent ongoing training and on-the-job support is provided.
