Senior Lawyer/Lawyer, Unrestricted Practicing Certificate|Villamanta Disability Rights Legal Service|Geelong West VIC

  • Full-time/part-time (hybrid)
  • $110 000 to $129 999 per annum plus salary packaging

Reporting to the Legal Practice Manager, the Senior Lawyers are primarily responsible for undertaking legal work and providing direct supervision and support to a small team of junior lawyers and volunteers while ensuring compliance with Villamanta’s legal practice standards and Community Legal Centres Australia risk management framework, and all other applicable legal and regulatory standards. Other responsibilities include

  • contributing to submissions that clarify issues, propose alternatives, and seek to improve outcomes under our purpose and service priorities
  • planning and delivering community and clinical legal education workshops and training to stakeholders
  • providing regular reports to the Legal Practice Manager

If you have legal experience with NDIS appeals, discrimination, tenancy or prisoner rights, this will be highly regarded.
