Aboriginal Community Worker|Kingsford Legal Centre|Kensington NSW

The Aboriginal Community Worker will assist and support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in accessing Kingsford Legal Centre. The Aboriginal Community Worker will work to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients have accessible and culturally-safe pathways to legal assistance and support. The role works collaboratively with the staff of the legal service to ensure the service maintains culturally appropriate strategies for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. The role will also support Law and Justice students to ensure they meet the centre’s expectations in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. The role is based at the centre, at UNSW Kensington but also works in the local community at outreach locations.
