NAAFLS is entering an exciting phase in growth and development, and is seeking a Principal Legal Officer to join the team and be an important part of the journey forward. If you have five-plus years post-admission experience, eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Practising Certificate in the Northern Territory and a passion be a part of a team dedicated to improving the lives of Aboriginal people in remote communities in the Top End of the NT, this is the role for you. The PLO will manage the Legal Practise ensuring PII obligations and requirements are met. NAAFLS offers the unique opportunity to work collaboratively alongside client support officers and case workers, which are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-identified roles, to ensure that the service is culturally safe and holistic. This unique model of service seeks practical, community-based solutions to the most complex legal problems in the areas of family law, child protection, and domestic violence.
