Ballarat and Grampians Community Legal Service (BGCLS) is offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate family lawyer to provide legal services within a maternal and child health setting as part of an integrated service. The Family Lawyer will be supported by a small team of family lawyers as well as a dedicated project officer to assist with the establishment of new partnerships and the coordination of community and professional legal education. The successful candidate will be both suitably experienced and qualified, possessing the qualifications necessary to practice law in the federal jurisdiction. Applicants must demonstrate experience working in the areas of family law and family violence. This is a full-time position for eighteen months, however hours of work may be negotiated to allow for working parents, carers or lifestyle requirements. Some flexibility is available between working in office, on location or working from home. BGCLS values diversity, inclusivity and work-life balance and encourages people from diverse backgrounds to apply.
Applications must include the following to be considered: candidate application form, cover letter, resume/CV. Candidate application form can be found here. Applications should be addressed to Lisa Buckland, Executive Officer and forwarded electronically to recruitment@bgcls.org.au in PDF format.
