Thiyama-li is a Family Violence Prevention Legal Service funded by the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA). It is a regional, holistic and trauma-informed community legal practice with three offices in north-west NSW (Moree, Bourke, Walgett) servicing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Thiyama-li provides access to free legal services (from legal advice to full legal case work and court representation), non-legal support services, early intervention and prevention and community legal education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims or survivors of domestic, family, and sexual violence. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
Community Legal Centres Australia acknowledges the traditional owners of the lands across Australia and particularly acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, traditional owners of the land on which the Community Legal Centres Australia office is situated. We pay deep respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
Community Legal Centres Australia is a proudly inclusive organisation and an ally of the LGBTIQ+ community and the movement toward equality.
