Help shape PIAC’s strategy for working with First Nations people.
We work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations, to protect and promote human rights, in areas including policing, youth justice, child protection and truth- telling. Our work reflects the priorities and goals identified by our clients and/or partner Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and representative bodies.
As a Senior Solicitor you will lead, or as a Solicitor play a central role in delivering, PIAC’s work to advance justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

• Sydney, CBD location, with remote work supported
This is a role for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Solicitor or Senior Solicitor with strong legal practical skills and the capacity to identify and develop innovative legal, policy and political strategies to address ATSI justice issues. You will have:
• Eligibility to apply for NSW Practising Certificate
• 3+ years post-admission legal practice experience
This position is intended as a special measure for the purposes of s 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth) and the subject of an exemption granted under s 126 of the Anti- Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
