As a Solicitor with Central Australian Women’s Legal Service, you will be working in a small but busy and tight-knit team. Under the direction of the Principal Solicitor, the HJP solicitor will be engaged in legal advice, representation and referrals for clients who are patients or clients at a range of health service providers in Central Australia and the Barkly. You will assist Senior Solicitors and have carriage of a number of your own matters.
This role involves:
- Client management
- Drafting court documents & correspondence
- Attending Court
- File management
- Attending Domestic Violence drop-in appointments
- Ensuring deadlines are met
- Working closely with senior solicitors and the Practice Manager
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and some data entry.
